Fremont, California - Hyper today announces the immediate availability of the New HyperDrive NET 6-in-2 USB-C Hub, an ultra thin and compact adapter specifically designed to expand the port connectivity of the USB-C only MacBook Pro 2018.
HyperDrive NET, which also works with previous 2016/2017 MacBook Pro models, converts 2 USB-C ports on the MacBook Pro into 6 ports: Gigabit Ethernet, 4K HDMI, Dual USB-A 3.0, 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 USB-C with 100W Power Delivery, 5Gbps USB-C with 60W Power Delivery.
Unlike other USB-C dongles, HyperDrive NET is designed to be part of the MacBook Pro, occupying minimal desk footprint. It is made of the same precision milled aluminum, color matched to the MacBook Pro. HyperDrive NET does not require external power and is so compact that the user can just leave it on the MacBook Pro the entire time, even when not in use.
HyperDrive NET is the fourth iteration of the original HyperDrive which is the most crowdfunded USB-C hub in history, raising over $3.1M on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. It follows after HyperDrive SOLO (single USB-C for any computer), HyperDrive DUO (dual USB-C power delivery) and HyperDrive PRO (additional Mini DisplayPort).
HyperDrive NET (together with earlier HyperDrive DUO and PRO models) are the only USB-C hubs in the market that have 2 USB-C connectors that both support data and power delivery pass through charging of the MacBook Pro
HyperDrive NET is available today through hypershop.com for $99.99
